At CHS Broadbent, we believe you should get paid for the quality of grain you produce. That’s why we’ve introduced dynamic binning. We’ll test the quality of your load on arrival against the previous 500MT received into the applicable stack. If your wheat or barley falls within the tolerance zones below, and the rolling stack average meets GTA protein, screenings and test weight receival standards, we’ll upgrade your grain for you on the spot!
How does it work?
From here, you can either sell your upgraded ticket now, or warehouse the grain and sell when it suits you.
Wheat Tolerance Zones
Wheat | Screenings % (Max) | Protein % (Min) | Test Weight (Min) |
---|---|---|---|
APH1 | 6 | 13.7 | 74 |
APH2 | 6 | 12.7 | 74 |
H2 | 6 | 11.2 | 74 |
APW1 | 6 | 10.2 | 74 |
Barley Tolerance Zones
Barley | Protein % (Min) | Screenings % (Max) | Retention % (Min) | Test Weight |
---|---|---|---|---|
Malt barley | 8.8 (min) - 12.5 (max) | 8 | 68 | 64 |
Feed Barley | - | 16 | 74 | 60.5 |
If the rolling stack average falls below the GTA receival standards for protein, screenings or test weight, then dynamic binning will not be available.
At all times we need to make sure the stack is running within GTA standards to ensure outturning is not compromised.
