Site Supervisor - Lake Bolac Site
CHS Broadbent is a reliable grain supply chain company with global market access. Our modern facilities, a

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for a full-time role at our Lake Bolac bulk storage site.
Reporting to the Southern Storage Manager the Supervisor is hands on operational role involved in all aspects grain receival, storage, grain husbandry and out-loading of all commodities stored within CHS Broadbent Grain facility.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain efficient, high-quality grain receival and storage & handling operations
- Maintaining an awareness of local issues to develop relationships with growers, transport operators
and key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of CHS Broadbent policies, procedures and minimum standards
relating to all aspects of grain handling within the site
- Fumigation, pest, and site spraying controls.
- Assist with rostering of all site staff during normal and peak periods
- Supervise a large seasonal workforce during our harvest periods.
- Site planning
- Machinery and equipment operation; FEL, forklift, drive-over & stacker
- Hygiene; maintain high standards of site hygiene to ensure the minimisation of waste and insect infestation.
- Promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within the grain industry
- Fumigation accreditation
- Current drivers licence
- Strong and demonstrated leadership skills
- High risk work licence
- First Aid certificate
- Experience with MS Office Suite

Grain Handler - Lake Bolac
About the role
CHS Broadbent is seeking experienced Grain Handlers to join our team at our Lake Bolac site with an immediate start. This essential role supports the efficient and safe operation of our grain handling and storage facility, helping to ensure our grain meets the highest standards.
What you'll be doing
- Operating grain handling machinery and equipment to receive, store, and load out grain.
- Perform quality checks and monitoring grain and product condition throughout the handling process
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Comply to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to ensure a safe and compliant workplace
- Work closely with the wider team and ensure clear communication of site requirements to our drivers.

- Previous experience in grain handling or similar agricultural operations
- Confidence using grain handling equipment and machinery

Join a global market leading supply chain business with a proud history of over 70 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Sample Stand Operator based between our Toowoomba and Jondaryan sites.
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Enforce Grain Harvest Management Scheme as required and send monthly reports to Department of Transport for overloaded vehicles
- Generate weekly tickets and invoices as well as monthly statements
- Coordinate daily bookings in spreadsheet for loads into site and liaising with clients and growers as first point of call
- Maintain up to date Purchase and Sales Contract information
- Liaise with truck drivers, handle enquires and follow up where required
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Familiarity with sampling analysis procedures
- Experience with grain sampling and associated technology
- Experience in the MS Office suite
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skills
- Experience in the grain industry is highly advantageous

Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic

CHS Broadbent are seeking a qualified diesel mechanic to fill a full-time position, and work across our modern fleet of Kenworth and Mack trucks, as well as earthmoving and agricultural machinery.

Based in our Ballarat workshop you’ll be working with some of the very best heavy vehicle diesel mechanics in the business, with an abundance of experience and knowledge to share.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that all vehicles, trailers, plant and equipment are serviced and maintained within required timeframes
- Provide leadership and guidance to apprentices with respect to all aspects of the workshop and look for opportunities to provide further on the job training
- Diagnostic and preventative maintenance
- Attend to breakdowns (where required)
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including workplace health and safety
- Ensure the maintenance records for fleet are accurate and up-to date
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses
- Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify opportunities for improvement
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (third or fourth year apprentice applications are also welcomed)
