Over 70 years of history...
CHS Broadbent is a grain supply chain company with a proud history of servicing agricultural producers in Victoria and Eastern Australia for over 70 years.
The business was established in 1952 by Ned Broadbent as a firewood freight business and later, joined by his son’s Ron and Keith, this small but industrious venture soon grew to supplying bagged grain and hay to stockfeed mills using the first bulk trailers in the area.
Ownership of the business then passed down to Ron’s sons, Stephen and Michael Broadbent.
Stephen and Michael have expanded the business to include grain marketing, storage, logistics and export packing.
With facilities in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, a fleet of trucks and expert staff, we have the experience and knowledge to help you obtain the best outcome for your hard work – “Your complete supply chain partner”.
In October 2014, Broadbent Grain welcomed CHS Australia as a partner to extend the growth of the two companies within the Australian grain industry.
CHS is a leading global agribusiness owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives across the US who are committed to growing their business through their domestic and global operations.
In 2017, the company rebranded and now trades as CHS Broadbent.
The partnership with CHS Inc. has strengthened our growth commitment and brought further value-added services which enables us to provide Australian growers with an all-encompassing, experienced and trustworthy solution to their grain marketing, storage and logistics needs.
